Pearl Abyss officially launched the 30th new class for Black Desert, 'Wukong', on the 2nd.

'Wukong' is a descendant of the legendary Sun Wukong from the classic epic 'Journey to the West'. While the character possesses a human appearance, they possess extraordinary abilities that set them apart from common folk.

The class wields a 'Ruyi Staff' as a primary weapon and 'Jade Beads' as an awakening weapon, which notably grow in size. The design allows for a fluid, open-ended structure where players can switch seamlessly between weapons to dictate their own combat style.

By filling the 'Gourd' with Taoist energy, players can trigger 'Great Sage Mode'. In this state, the reach of the Ruyi Staff extends significantly, and clones of Wukong manifest to aid in the fray. Furthermore, the character can summon a 'Cloud Somersault' to zip around the battlefield, enabling high-mobility, strategic play.

To celebrate the arrival of 'Wukong', a level-up challenge event runs until August 6th. Adventurers can earn rewards such as ▲Advice of Valks (+100) ▲[Event] Enhancement Support Box V ▲Premium Perfume Box based on the level achieved. Completing specific quests will also grant items for your residence or manor, such as ▲[Event] Faintly Rising Cloud Somersault ▲[Event] [Manor] Ruyi Staff of the Supreme.

A settling-in fund for new adventurers has also been introduced. By completing special quests—such as ▲reaching level 61 ▲completing main questlines ▲accumulating 50 hours of family playtime—new adventurers can secure up to 10 billion Silver.

Meanwhile, The '2025 Heidel Ball' held on June 28th brought some heat to Daejeon, appropriately celebrating with a variety of bread-themed events. With over 200 adventurers in attendance, the banquet served as the stage to unveil major updates, including 'Wukong' and the new region, 'Edania (Demon World)'.
