The Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) and the National Library for Children and Young Adults (NLCY) are teaming up on the 19th to host 'Becoming the Eyes of Games!', a career discovery programme featuring hands-on experience with game rating processes for upper-grade primary and middle school students.

Co-hosted with the NLCY, the programme invites participants to explore the ins and outs of the global games industry, investigate various career paths, and dive into the rating system. Students will even step into the shoes of a rating committee member to decide age classifications, all under the guidance of professional game instructors trained by the GRAC.

Seo Tae-geon, Chair of the GRAC, noted that the committee provides these rating-focused sessions to help users develop the discernment and skills needed to choose age-appropriate content. Seo Tae-geon added that the collaboration with the NLCY is expected to offer meaningful educational content for youth and promote a healthy gaming culture.

Park Joo-ok, Director of the NLCY, explained that the library prepared this programme to actively embrace the interests of children and teenagers. Park Joo-ok hopes this will serve as an opportunity for participants to broaden their knowledge of games and explore a variety of future career paths with a more expansive perspective.
