delabs Games has appointed Jaeseok Kim, the co-founder of Planetarium, as the new co-CEO, setting their sights on developing Web3 games infused with artificial intelligence.

Jaeseok Kim is widely recognised for co-founding Planetarium, the studio behind the blockchain title Nine Chronicles. Kim made waves in the Web3 sector by establishing a decentralised gaming ecosystem built on a proprietary public blockchain. Last year, he launched the global Web3 version of Immortal Raising 2, a successor to the original idle RPG.

delabs Games is pivoting towards AI-integrated game development through this appointment. The studio plans to showcase titles powered by Verse8, their AI-driven game generation platform.

Verse8 allows creators to build games with simple prompts, bypassing the need for complex coding knowledge. It covers the entire lifecycle, from production and distribution to monetization. The heavy lifting—like server connectivity and asset generation—is handled by 'Agent8', the platform’s integrated AI model.

Jaeseok Kim stated, "Having observed delabs Games from an investor's perspective, I am now ready to lead the charge as co-CEO to steer the company toward the next generation of AI-centric gaming."

The company is moving to a dual-leadership structure. Kim will oversee AI game development via Verse8, while Joonmo Kwon will focus on global business strategy, marketing, and external partnerships.

delabs Games plans to roll out a series of AI-powered Web3 titles based on the intellectual property currently held by 4:33 Creative Lab.
