The Korea Game Developers Association has opened the call for participants for the 2025 Game Madang Game Jam. This event is built around Game Madang, a platform that provides free resources as part of the 2025 Game Resource Sharing Project.

The recruitment is split into individual and team categories, with a total capacity of 48 people: 32 individual participants (eight teams of four) and 16 team-based participants (four teams of four).

For individual participants, teams will be randomly assigned during an orientation, ensuring a balance of one designer, two programmers, and one artist per team. Those applying as a pre-formed team face no such role restrictions.

Applications are open from 9:00 AM on August 4 to 6:00 PM on August 29. An orientation session is scheduled for September 3 at 7:00 PM, where the Korea Game Developers Association will cover event guidelines, judging criteria, mentorship details, and the random team-building process for individuals.

The game jam kicks off on September 5 at 2:00 PM, alongside the start of design and art mentorship support. Submissions must be uploaded by 11:00 AM on September 8, and the winners will be announced on the Game Madang platform on September 11 at 3:00 PM following an expert review.

Participants will receive a participation certificate and a welcome coupon. Beyond mentorship, the event offers awards, prize money, interviews for winning teams, exhibition opportunities at the 2026 Game Show, and support for official releases.

Korea Game Developers Association President Shin Yong-hoon stated, "The Korea Game Developers Association aims to make this the premier game jam in the country, where participants can truly feel the thrill of development and the joy of teamwork."
