The Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) and the Korea Internet PC Culture Association held a joint campaign in Daegu on the 18th, aiming to foster a healthy gaming culture.

The initiative was launched to ensure the smooth implementation of revised legislation and to encourage PC bang operators to make voluntary safety inspections a regular part of their daily operations.

The focus was specifically on the recent amendment to Article 26, Paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Enforcement Rule of the Game Industry Promotion Act. The core takeaway is that if a PC bang operator failed to identify a minor due to forged, altered, or stolen IDs, or if the operator was unable to verify the age due to threats or physical violence, the operator may be exempt from administrative penalties as prescribed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In addition, given the recent surge in nationwide disasters, including fires and heavy rainfall, the team also conducted a safety inspection campaign to promote proactive disaster response.

GRAC Chairperson Seo Tae-geon emphasized, "If game-related businesses and associations actively join in creating a healthy gaming culture, it will contribute significantly to establishing an environment where users can play with peace of mind."
