NEXON Games has become the first domestic gaming company to ink a resource circulation agreement for waste electrical and electronic equipment with E-circular Governance, a non-profit public interest corporation authorised by the Ministry of Environment.

Through this partnership, NEXON Games is establishing a collaborative system for the proper disposal and recycling of unused office electronics. By safely collecting and recycling the electronic waste that inevitably piles up in the office, the company aims to put environmental protection and sustainable resource management into practice.

To kick things off, NEXON Games is launching an internal campaign for staff called 'Inventory Cleanup Quest: Electronics Edition', which runs for four weeks starting August 5. The goal is to educate employees on the importance of circular resources and proper disposal, while encouraging them to get involved.

During the campaign, staff can drop off their unused electronics at designated collection points within the office or utilise a home-visit collection service for larger appliances. All collected items will be processed and recycled in an eco-friendly manner via E-circular Governance.

Lee Young-ho, head of the ESG TF at NEXON Games, stated, "We are pleased to lay the foundation for sustainable eco-friendly activities through this agreement." Lee added, "We intend to keep these campaigns running, ensuring that both company-wide initiatives and the small, meaningful actions of our staff continue to add up."

Meanwhile, NEXON Games established its ESG TF in May 2024 and has been actively rolling out related initiatives ever since.
