On the 6th, Kakao Games launched the new campaign, 'Ashes of Earth', for the RTS title Stormgate.

This campaign arrives as part of the 'Necrolite' update, focusing on the narrative of the human faction, the Vanguard. The writing duties were handled by Micky Neilson, with Marv Wolfman and Chris Metzen contributing to the storytelling. The voice cast is a star-studded affair, featuring global entertainment and gaming heavyweights like Simu Liu, Tara Strong, Matt Mercer, and Rosanna Pansino.

With this update, Stormgate has received a UI overhaul. Furthermore, a new system has been introduced where players can earn 'Storm Points' across various modes—including Campaign, Co-op, and Versus—to exchange for rewards. Additional cosmetic content, such as faction-specific player cards and nameplates, has also been added.

Over the past year, Kakao Games and Frost Giant Studios have been busy incorporating player feedback. This has led to a major restructuring of campaign content, new system implementations, and adjustments to art and balance. Looking ahead, the developers plan to expand the 'Sigma Labs' system, which will include 3-player co-op PvE missions and a map editor.

To celebrate the launch, Kakao Games is preparing campaign strategy guides and events tailored for newcomers, reaffirming a commitment to staying engaged with the local player base. Frost Giant Studios intends to roll out a steady stream of content and updates in the coming months.
