Dreamage (formerly HYBE IM) and Bonfire Studios announced on the 8th that they have settled on 'Arkheron' as the official title for their team-based PvP game, previously known as 'Project Torch'. Dreamage signed a publishing agreement with Bonfire Studios back in January, securing the rights to service the title in South Korea and Japan.

Arkheron is an online team-based PvP game set in a dark, surreal dimension. With the title now official, Dreamage and Bonfire Studios intend to share more detailed information and the first gameplay footage next month. Later this year, they plan to refine the experience by conducting user tests, including a Focus Group Test (FGT) aimed at PC players across Asia.

Dreamage CEO Jung Woo-yong stated, "Amidst such significant interest and anticipation, we are thrilled to finally unveil the name of Bonfire Studios' latest project, Arkheron." Jung Woo-yong added, "Arkheron promises a fresh competitive experience where player choice and creativity shape strategy and combat in real-time, and we ask for your continued support."

Bonfire Studios CEO Rob Pardo remarked, "Arkheron is a project that the team plays and enjoys every single day, and I am genuinely delighted to be the first to invite the highly skilled and passionate players of Korea into our community." Rob Pardo continued, "We truly hope the players will love this game as much as we do."

For those unaware, Bonfire Studios was co-founded in 2016 by Rob Pardo (formerly Chief Creative Officer at Blizzard), Nick Carpenter (formerly VP of Art and Cinematics at Blizzard), and Min Kim (formerly CEO of Nexon America). The studio is comprised of veteran developers who cut their teeth on titles like StarCraft, Overwatch, and Diablo. Arkheron marks the studio's first official project.
