NCSoft, which has positioned 'Aion 2' as its core title for the fourth quarter, has reshuffled its new game release schedule and officially announced the cancellation of the development of the strategy game 'Tactical Throne'.

During the Q2 2025 earnings conference call Q&A session on the 12th, NCSoft disclosed its release schedule for new titles by quarter and laid out its general strategic direction. Furthermore, the company shared information regarding the cancellation and the shift in direction for its first attempt at an RTS title, 'Tactical Throne'.

To start with, NCSoft plans to roll out several new titles by the third quarter of next year. 'Breakers: Unlock the World' (hereinafter 'Breakers'), a collectible RPG by Big Game Studio being published by NCSoft, is slated for a Q1 release, while Mistyle Games' competitive shooter 'Time Tackers' is scheduled for Q2. 'LLL', a shooter currently under in-house development at NCSoft, is expected to launch between mid-year and the third quarter of next year.

Furthermore, four spin-off games based on proprietary IPs are set to be unveiled quarter by quarter next year, while spin-off titles originally slated for Q4 have been pushed to next year. Co-CEO Park Byung-moo noted, "The schedule adjustments are meant to enhance quality and prevent conflicts in publishing timelines, rather than being caused by development delays," adding, "The schedule may shift again depending on when GTA 6 is released."

On top of this, 'Tactical Throne', which gained attention as NCSoft's first RTS, has been officially cancelled. Co-CEO Park Byung-moo stated, "We have significantly raised our standards for gameplay evaluation prior to launch," and explained, "The decision was made based on the judgment that it would be better for the core development team to leverage their 4X RTS genre know-how to create a new game rather than launching it as is."
