Busan City, in partnership with the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency and the Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee (hereafter BIC Organizing Committee), is set to host the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2025 (BIC Festival 2025) at BEXCO from the 15th to the 17th.

Held annually in Busan, the Busan Indie Connect Festival serves as a hub where you can experience indie games from both home and abroad. The event’s slogan, 'MATCH YOUR INDIE SPIRIT,' is meant to capture the essence of visitors and developers with diverse tastes and unique personalities finding their perfect match.

Marking its 11th anniversary, BIC Festival 2025 will showcase 283 indie games from 32 countries. Beyond the games, attendees can expect a variety of side events including stage programs, dedicated event zones, merchandise shops, and live streaming.

The opening ceremony will reveal the nominees for the BIC Awards and the newly established 'Special Pick' category, with the final awards and closing ceremony taking place on the 17th. Following the offline festivities, online exhibitions and interactive experiences will continue until August 29th on the official website.

Joo Seong-pil, Chairman of the BIC Organizing Committee, stated, "This year, we’ve expanded global entries, extended B2C operations throughout the entire event, and added new award categories to ensure a richer experience for both players and industry professionals." The Chairman added, "We hope this becomes a vibrant festival where visitors discover new games and engage in meaningful dialogue."

Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon remarked, "In its 11th year, the BIC Festival is cementing Busan's status as a global indie game hub." Mayor Park further noted, "Indie games are a core growth engine for the future of the content industry, and the city remains committed to providing the practical support developers need, from initial creation to distribution."
