글로벌 최대 규모 게임쇼, 게임스컴 개막이 하루 앞으로 다가왔다. 게임스컴이 개최되는 전시장인 쾰른 메세 주변은 주요 출품작을 알리는 대형 현수막이 곳곳에 붙었고, 이른 오전부터 현장 스태프들이 분주히 움직이며 다음날에 찾아올 방문객을 맞이할 준비에 총력을 기울이고 있었다. 북쪽 입구에 각 게임을 알리는 대형 현수막이 늘어선 모습은 개막 전부터 기대감을 자극했다.

쾰른 메세는 남쪽 입구에서 북쪽 입구까지 도보로 이동하면 15분 이상이 걸릴 정도로 규모가 상당히 큰 행사장이다. 비록 내부에는 들어가지 못했으나 거대한 행사장 건물 곳곳에도 게이머 눈길을 끄는 작품을 알리는 홍보물이 설치되어 게임스컴이 하루 앞으로 다가왔음을 체감할 수 있었다. 개막 전부터 후끈하게 달아오른 현장을 카메라에 담았다.
