NEXON announced on the 28th that it will host "High School Heroes," the first high school esports league for THE FINALS, developed by its subsidiary Embark Studios.

High School Heroes is an official esports league where high school students from across the country form teams by school. Following the online qualifiers held on the 23rd, six teams have advanced to the main event: Hoengseong High School, Busan Computer Science High School, Cheongju High School, Chungnam Machinery Technical High School, Hanse Cyber Security High School, and Cheongbuk High School.

The main event will begin on the 30th and will be held every weekend in a 3v3 'Cashout' mode format, with matches broadcast online. The semi-finals and finals will take place on September 6th to determine the winning team.

The winning team will receive a prize of 2 million KRW and an opportunity to visit THE FINALS Grand Major held in Stockholm, Sweden, this November. The winning school will be awarded 10 million KRW worth of shared equipment, and all students at the school will receive convenience store vouchers.

To celebrate the launch of the high school league, NEXON is hosting a "High School Heroes" cheering event until September 5th. Participants can check the participating teams and match schedules on the official event webpage and support their favorite teams by uploading comments and videos.

The school with the highest cheering score will be provided with a snack truck, and fans who leave cheering comments and videos will be entered into a raffle for Naver Pay vouchers.
