Escape from Tarkov, which has announced its 1.0 full release for November 15, is officially heading to Steam. While rumors have circulated for some time, this is the first time the developer has confirmed the release by sharing a screenshot of the Steam page.

Nikita Buyanov, CEO of Battlestate Games, took to his official X account on the 31st to share a screenshot of the Escape from Tarkov Steam store page, stating, "We will open the Steam page soon. More details will be revealed later." Previously, Buyanov hinted at the Steam release by posting a GIF of steam rising from an iron, and the official Battlestate Games account also teased the launch by posting cloud emojis.

Until now, Escape from Tarkov has only been available for purchase and play through Battlestate Games' official launcher. Although the spin-off, Escape from Tarkov: Arena, was released on the Epic Games Store earlier this year, the main title had not expanded its platform availability. Consequently, many PC gamers have consistently requested a Steam release.

While the Steam page is not yet live, it is expected that the official launch will coincide with the 1.0 version update scheduled for November 15. With the Steam release confirmed, interest is growing regarding whether existing players will need to purchase the game again to play on Steam. However, as games previously released on other platforms often require a separate purchase when expanding to Steam, it is expected that existing players will likely need to purchase the Steam version separately to enjoy the game on that platform.
