The new visual novel 'Road Trip to the End of the World' hit Steam for free on the 31st.

The game follows the journey of Andy Min, who, after dropping out of medical school and finding themselves uninvited to a best friend's wedding, descends into despair. Andy Min sets off on a 5-day road trip from near Massachusetts in the Northeastern US to crash the wedding in San Francisco, spanning over 3,000 miles (4,828km) alongside Fish, an imaginary friend.

The narrative explores the 'death' of friendship. With a playtime of roughly 1 to 2 hours, it offers a short, linear point-and-click experience. Along the way, players face mundane trials like back pain and questionable gas station snacks, while finding small joys in devouring burgers at various diners.

Developer Alex M. Lee states that the game is based on personal experience, aiming to spark an honest conversation about the end of a friendship. Fish, the imaginary fish friend, serves to balance Andy Min by providing unconditional affection. The ending is branching, allowing players to reach different conclusions based on their choices.

'Road Trip to the End of the World' is available to play for free on Steam, though it does not support the Korean language.
