Riot Games announced on the 4th that Blitzcrank will be the newest champion for their upcoming fighting game, 2XKO.

2XKO is a 2v2 tag-team fighting game built upon the foundation of League of Legends. It reimagines the Runeterra universe and the iconic skills of champions like Ahri and Yasuo for the fighting game arena.

Blitzcrank arrives as 2XKO's first champion specialized in 'grappling'. While his mobility is sluggish, the core gameplay revolves around the infamous Q–E combo from League of Legends: dragging foes in with 'Rocket Grab' before delivering a crushing blow with 'Power Fist'. Notably, Blitzcrank is the only champion revealed so far to feature a command grab as an ultimate move.

In the 2v2 format of 2XKO, players can swap out champions or rely on support from their teammate. When utilized as an assist, Blitzcrank can drag opponents into range, facilitating team combos or turning the tide of battle.

You can experience 2XKO during the closed playtest starting September 10th. You can register for participation on the 2XKO official website, where a roster of 9 champions will be available.
