Krafton has announced that 'PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS' has released its October update, featuring a new Contender character, gunplay improvements, and a limited-time Halloween collaboration mode.

The new Contender character 'Dorian' has been released. First introduced in April, the Contender system is a paid, progression-based item that combines various elements such as character appearance, emotes, kill effects, parachute trail effects, and kill badges.

The newly joined 'Dorian' is a heavy metal band guitarist obsessed with music. Players can find 'Dorian' in the Workshop and apply upgrades to unlock new features and animations.

Gunplay and system updates have also been implemented. Adjustments include reduced hip-fire accuracy for SMGs, decreased damage for the MP5K, and balancing for the Panzerfaust. The Recall system has been overhauled, with registration times now varying based on the number of Blue Chips, and the frequency of the Recall plane on 8x8 maps reduced by one. Additionally, terrain destruction has been added to Miramar, along with adjustments to vehicles.

In celebration of the upcoming Halloween season, a collaboration mode with the global animation 'Skibidi Toilet' will be released sequentially on PC and console. This limited-time Arcade mode is a PvE boss battle featuring the Toilet boss, available exclusively for 4-player squads. Players can acquire 'Upgrade Chemical Cans' during gameplay to upgrade weapons for the next match. A new 'Event Pass: Skibidi Toilet' will also be released. The 'Skibidi Toilet' mode will be available on PC starting October 22 and on consoles starting October 30, for a limited period of two weeks.
