505 Games and Supernova Games Studio have officially launched the Early Access version of 'Assetto Corsa Rally' on Steam as of the 13th, through a technical partnership with Kunos Simulazioni.

Developed by Supernova Games Studio, 'Assetto Corsa Rally' brings the series’ hallmark driving physics to the world of rally racing. It captures the essence of rally racing, where speed, precision, and adaptability are paramount.

Each rally stage takes place in a distinct environment. Time of day, weather, and road conditions directly impact driving performance. Factors like temperature, humidity, and terrain type dictate grip and vehicle response, making every stage unique and unpredictable. The Kunos physics engine has been refined to handle the specific requirements of rally racing, including jumps, rough terrain, and vehicle dynamics across volatile, slippery surfaces.

In a first for the rally simulation genre, every stage has been crafted using laser-scan technology to replicate real-world terrain, surface irregularities, and surrounding environments with high fidelity. Supernova Games Studio has optimized Unreal Engine 5 to meet the specific performance and visual fidelity requirements of sim-racing. Every vehicle is recreated using laser scans and official CAD data. The damage system is both visual and physical, affecting handling and performance accordingly.

The 'Assetto Corsa Rally' Early Access version includes 33 kilometers of laser-scanned roads. It features four special stages—ranging from the gravel of Wales to the asphalt of Alsace—with 18 variations. There are 10 iconic rally cars across 'Group B', 'WRC', and 'Rally2' categories, along with five gameplay modes and triple-screen support.

The full release is expected to include over 120 kilometers of laser-scanned stages. It will provide 10 special stages across five international rallies with 35 variations, and over 30 rally cars spanning past and present eras. New modes, a Rally School, a career mode, and full virtual reality (VR) support are also planned.
