Needs Games officially kicked off the pre-registration campaign for its dark fantasy action RPG, 'Dark December', on the 9th. The studio is handling both development and self-publishing duties for this title.

Dark December is a prequel to the studio's previous work, 'Undecember', designed to offer an epic narrative and intense action. The game follows the journey of a player character known as a 'Sirian', a unique being born from the plans of the twelve gods. As players navigate new encounters and challenges, they will uncover the long-hidden truths of the gods and their own identity.

Players can craft their own combat style through various progression elements, including class-specific skills, rune linking, passive masteries, talismans, and item crafting and enhancement. Combat content includes the 'Abyss of Chaos', which allows for tiered challenges through difficulty selection, and the 'Divine Realm of Chaos', a bonus dungeon that opens with a low probability within the Abyss of Chaos. Additionally, the game features the 'Corridor of Oblivion' for strategic boss encounters, the wave-defense content 'Dimensional Rift Veles' where players fight off endless waves of enemies, and cooperative raids.

All pre-registration participants will receive one of the limited costumes—'Berserker of the Mark', 'Raven of the Mark', or 'Morgana of the Mark'—tailored to their character class, along with the limited pet 'Flink' and the limited title 'Immortal Bond'. Furthermore, the developers plan to provide various in-game items necessary for growth, such as gold, healing potions, a talisman set, and resurrection scrolls.
