NEXON hosted its 2025 winter 'CROWN' showcase on the 13th, pulling back the curtain on a massive content roadmap. Held at the MegaBox COEX in Seoul, the event ditched the standard corporate briefing format for an end-of-year awards ceremony vibe, turning a fan-gathering into something a bit more exclusive.

Living up to the 'CROWN' moniker, attendance wasn't open to just anyone. Only those who had hit specific milestones—such as a Union level of 10,000+, owning a level 295+ character, or registering three or more S-rank Union Champions—were invited. The event was packed with on-site festivities and a few surprises, closing with a sentimental montage looking back at 2025 to thank the player base for their dedication.

The showcase saw Director Chang-seop Kim and MC Seung-heon Seong rotating through three different screening halls, each tailored to specific player tiers, to break down the winter update details.

The headline was the second common core for the 6th Job HEXA skills: 'Sol Hecate.' Think of it as a growth-based summonable companion usable by all classes. It evolves visually as you level it up and unlocks new skills. While 'Sol Janus' was all about the grind for mobbing, 'Sol Hecate' is designed to be your best mate during boss encounters.

We also got a look at the new boss, 'Radiant Stern.' Aimed at level 280+ characters, this fight forces you to make tough tactical choices as you oscillate between reality and a 'bewitched' state. Take it down, and you might bag the new 'Ecstatic Nightmare' ring, part of the Radiant Boss Accessory set. There are also vanity items on offer for those who clear it during the event window.

There’s also the new 'Astra Secondary Weapon.' Once you’ve wrapped up the Genesis weapon quest, you’ll farm 'Traces of the Fierce Battle' from Grandis region bosses and 'Erion’s Fragments' from high-end bosses and dailies to level it up. It’s a three-tier growth system that boosts your Star Force cap and even allows you to transfer potential stats from your old gear.

Then there’s 'Jupiter,' an endgame boss for the elite level 295+ crowd. The strategy here hinges on managing the balance as Jupiter and its 'connected entity' constantly split and fuse. Triumphant players can snag the 'Pride’s Original Sin' face accessory, another piece of the Radiant Boss Accessory set, along with limited-time vanity rewards.

Alongside Jupiter, we’re getting 'Gear-drack,' a new level 295 region. The lore suggests it’s where the ancient god Gob hid the massive furnace 'Chronos' while tinkering with his weaponry. Finishing the story quests here nets you the 'Grand Authentic Symbol: Gear-drack.'

NEXON is also tweaking the leveling experience. XP from Epic Dungeons is being buffed across the board, and Monster Park Extreme is getting a significant XP boost for the 275+ bracket. Hitting level 285 grants the 'Evidence of a Radiant Hero,' which pushes your Link Skills to level 3, and reaching level 11 with an Authentic Symbol now grants bonus damage against region bosses.

The Destiny weapon's second growth phase, teased last winter, is finally here. Using 'Resolution of the Adversary'—dropped by 'The First Adversary,' 'Limbo,' and 'Valdrix'—you can push these weapons to 25-star enhancement capacity, along with a buff to their exclusive skills.

We also have 'Challengers World Season 3' and the new season boss, 'Wanderer of Time, Kai.' Level missions are shifting from 5-level intervals to a more granular 1-level scale. Normal mode is open for level 270+ and Hard for 280+, with rewards including Mesos and boss accessory chests.

The update list goes on: growth events, winter seasonal content, a Kinesis job remaster, massive quality-of-life improvements including integrated voice chat, and the new 'Guild Castle' content.
