Pearl Abyss announced on the 17th that it has launched 'Seraphim', the 31st new class for Black Desert. Previously teased on the 13th, 'Seraphim' is a female character who wields a two-handed greatsword and is designed with an open structure that does not distinguish between 'Inheritance' and 'Awakening'. Both her main weapon, 'Covenant', and her awakening weapon, 'Condemnation', are greatswords, and her appearance and skill effects change when she unleashes her holy power through her sub-weapon, 'Seal'.

'Seraphim' possesses a unique passive skill called 'Steadfast Will'. 'Steadfast Will' allows players to maintain their current skill combo state for 5 seconds. This enables adventurers to manage their skill flow relatively freely depending on the combat situation.

When using Black Spirit's Rage skills, players can choose between Light or Dark enhancement. Choosing the Light enhancement, 'Sacred Vow', allows for speed-focused skills, while choosing the Dark enhancement, 'Absolute Absolution', changes the weapon's appearance and allows for the use of skills with reduced attack speed but increased attack power and attack range.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the launch of the new class, Pearl Abyss is hosting a 'Level-up Challenge' and a 'Seraphim’s Seal' acquisition event. Depending on the class level achieved, players will be rewarded with 2,000 Cron Stones and housing furniture such as the [Event] Judgment and Condemnation set. By collecting seals until January 14th, players can exchange them for up to 3,000 Cron Stones, the [Seraphim] Judgment Weapon & Outfit Premium Set, and Advice of Valks (+250). Additionally, a login reward event commemorating the 'Calpheon Banquet' will run until February 24th.
