EA's Battlefield studio has announced an extension for both 'Battlefield 6' and the first season of 'Battlefield REDSEC'. This extension includes new weekly challenges and a bonus path, and the Season 1 battle pass will remain available.

Season 1 will continue until the launch of Season 2 on February 17, with the extension update arriving on January 20. The studio stated that the decision was made to reflect community feedback and ensure the quality and development of Season 2.

On the 27th, the 'Frostfire' Bonus Path will be released. Players can earn customization rewards such as weapon packages, soldier skins, and XP boosts as they progress through the tiers. Free rewards include hardware XP boosts and vehicle skins. Premium battle pass owners can receive new weapon packages, career XP boosts, and additional customization items.

The Frostfire Bonus Path can be completed alongside the Season 1 battle pass. Players do not need to choose between the existing Season 1 battle pass paths, such as Operation Log or Lucky Soldiers, and the bonus path; they can complete them simultaneously. Each tier of the bonus path requires 10 points to unlock, with a total of 110 points needed to complete the entire path. These points can only be earned through weekly challenges, and no separate bonus challenges are provided.

A Valentine's Day event is also scheduled during this update period. New daily login rewards and several double XP weekend events will be offered. Additionally, the Season 1 extension update includes various gameplay improvements and bug fixes.
