The pre-patch content update for World of Warcraft's next expansion, Midnight, went live on the 22nd. With this update, the game has transitioned to the 12.0 expansion version ahead of its full launch this March. Players can now experience some of the new content and systems ahead of the official release.

First, housing features have been expanded. A new opt-in activity called 'Social Gatherings' has been added, allowing players to earn more housing decorations and experience points. Additionally, new outdoor housing themes based on Night Elf and Blood Elf cultures have been introduced.

For the Demon Hunter class, a new 'Predation' specialization has been introduced. Predation is a mid-range DPS specialization that utilizes Void energy, characterized by its ability to quickly switch between offense and defense. New class and race combinations, such as Void Elf Demon Hunters, are also now available.

The user interface has also received new features and improvements. Customization options have been expanded, and the clarity of raid frames has been enhanced. Display scaling and input adjustment features are also provided. Stats and item levels have been squashed to allow for more reasonable adjustments to combat power.

Starting on the 29th, the in-game event 'Twilight Ascension' will begin. The main objective is to defeat Void forces that randomly appear across various regions of the world. During this event, the 'Winds of Mysterious Fortune' buff will return, increasing experience gains for characters between levels 10 and 79.
