LeksLab and Parco Games have released their narrative-driven survival adventure, 'Nova Antarctica', on PC via Steam. Set in the year 2900, the game is set in a future Antarctica transformed by climate collapse, following a child drawn south by a mysterious signal. It is, in essence, a deep dive into isolation, memory, and the grit required to survive.

Nova Antarctica blends survival, crafting, and exploration into a cohesive adventure, even letting you befriend some of the local wildlife. You are tasked with surviving one of the planet's most unforgiving environments while unearthing secrets buried beneath the ice. The Antarctic presented here is a hauntingly beautiful, transformed landscape—a far cry from the frozen wastes we know today.

Em Hayashi, the game director and creator at LeksLab, notes, 'This game began with a simple question: what happens to humanity when the world goes quiet?' Hayashi hopes players will 'discover a personal, fragile, and unforgettable story.' Your choices shape the narrative, interacting with the continent’s mysteries in a way that feels intimate, offering a refreshing, meditative pace to the sci-fi survival genre.

Key features include exploring this altered future, encountering mutated wildlife, and scavenging remnants of a fallen civilization to survive. Parco Games positions Nova Antarctica as a debut title for their label, aiming to expand into interactive entertainment rooted in culture and art, alongside titles like Constance and The Berlin Apartment. General Manager Yuichi Nishizawa adds, 'Parco has always grown alongside culture and art; Nova Antarctica perfectly reflects the imaginative and emotive experiences we aim to support.'

Nova Antarctica is available on Steam for $24.99, 24.50 Euro, and £20.99. To mark the launch, there is a 20% discount running until February 9 at 23:59 JST, bringing the price down to $19.99, 19.60 Euro, and £16.79. A Premier Collection including a digital official visual book is also available.

Additionally, the game is being showcased at the Taipei Game Show from January 29 to February 1 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, offering a chance to go hands-on.
