NEXON's 'NAKWON: LAST PARADISE' (hereinafter NAKWON) has kicked off its second playtest on Steam, about three years after its initial reveal. The game is recording a steep upward trend, with concurrent players hitting roughly triple the count of the previous pre-alpha test.

Since the test began on the 12th, the overall volume of the game has expanded significantly. The 'Jongno North' area has been opened for exploration, and new systems such as 'Last Stand'—which allows players to attempt an escape even when health is depleted, provided the infection level hasn't reached its maximum—have been introduced. Additionally, dynamic weather, special infected entities, new weapons and armor, as well as various quests and housing content have been added.

During the first test in 2023, the peak concurrent player count was 5,600. In contrast, this test surpassed 16,000 as of the 13th, showing a significant increase in participation. This appears to be the result of word-of-mouth buzz and the fact that players can finally experience the game directly after a long wait.

NAKWON is a third-person PvPvE zombie extraction survival game set in a post-apocalyptic Seoul ruined by a zombie outbreak. Players must scavenge for resources in the ruined city while avoiding threats from infected entities and other players, then escape safely. Afterward, they use the acquired resources in a safe zone to craft equipment and manage their shelter to continue surviving.

The test runs until 5:00 PM on the 16th. Based on user feedback and play data collected during the test period, the developers plan to focus on improving the game's completeness for its future official launch, including optimization and balance adjustments.

Meanwhile, on the Steam global top sellers list, the successor to Solasta took 6th place upon its release. However, early user reviews are currently 'Mixed'. John Carpenter's Toxic Commando also launched on the 13th, reaching 4th place and receiving 'Very Positive' reviews. Ready or Not released its third DLC, with both the base game and the DLC climbing into the top ranks.

In the daily peak concurrent player top 20, Stardew Valley dropped out of the top 20, while Naraka: Bladepoint entered at 18th with 89,384 players. Limbus Company saw an increase in users, reaching 91,731 and rising to 15th place.
