Pearl Abyss rolled out a refresh for Black Desert's 'Altar of Blood' on the 15th. Alongside the update, they’ve tweaked trade content, opened recruitment for the second batch of 'Olvian Academy' students, and shared details on the upcoming 'Heidel Banquet' scheduled for July.

The 'Altar of Blood' is a defensive mode where a trio of adventurers team up to safeguard a sacred relic. Pearl Abyss is ramping up the challenge by restructuring the mode into 21 stages. Depending on your character's attack power, you can unlock additional tiers, and they’ve lifted the maximum attack cap, allowing you to clear monsters much faster. Those who clear the stages can earn rewards like Origin of Dark Hunger and Advice of Valks. Weekly spoils include gold bars, Caphras Stones, and Black Stones.

Trade content also saw a tune-up on the 15th. You can now aim for higher profits with the newly added Tier 6 and Tier 7 trading options. They’ve expanded the barter zones for 'Crow Coins' and bolstered the perks for 'Sudden Barter' events.

Following a successful first run, the 'Black Desert Olvian Academy' is back for its second intake. It’s designed to help new adventurers learn the game's various systems while earning rewards to aid their growth. The second session runs from April 15th through July 15th.

Meanwhile, the 'Heidel Banquet' player event is set to take place on July 26th in California, USA. This year marks a decade of Black Desert service in North America and Europe. To celebrate this milestone, the team previously held the 'Voice Of Adventurers' event for European players in Spain on March 1st.
