Yostar announced on the 22nd that Mahjong Soul has kicked off a collaboration with the Sword Art Online series. To mark the occasion, they have launched a limited-time event, 'Vow of the Sword', which injects MMORPG elements into the traditional game of mahjong.

In the 'Vow of the Sword' event, characters such as Ichihime, Yuzu, and Yuen Xiao appear as figures within the MMORPG world. Players can choose one of three classes—Mage, Swordsman, or Warrior—and level up their chosen character by playing through matches.

Additionally, during the event period, players can randomly obtain various tiers of equipment through matches. Equipping higher-tier gear increases the character's combat power. Players can also form parties with friends to challenge dungeons and earn various rewards upon completion.
