Telltale Games dropped a new cinematic trailer at Summer Game Fest on the 6th, confirming the news. The project was first announced back in 2017, only to vanish into thin air following the studio's collapse. After Telltale's resurrection in 2019, they promised a revival. They initially aimed for 2023, then pushed it to 2024, after which the trail went cold for quite some time.

For the uninitiated, Wolf Among Us is based on the 'Fables' graphic novel series from DC Comics, imagining a world where fairytale characters live amongst us in modern-day New York. It earned its stripes by juxtaposing whimsical fables with the grim, gritty reality of urban life, creating a unique atmosphere that left players desperate for more.

The initial reveal teased a narrative tied to 'The Wizard of Oz,' featuring characters like the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and a mysterious red-haired girl. The latest cinematic gives us a glimpse of a transformed, uniformed Dorothy, alongside fleeting appearances from the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion. We also get a look at a new deputy character, accompanied by a talking pig, assisting the sheriff.
