The Game Self-Regulation Organization of Korea (GSOK) and the law firm Yulchon met in Seoul's Gangnam district on the 11th. They signed an agreement to collaborate on legal support and monitoring regarding probabilistic items to foster a healthier gaming landscape.

The ceremony saw the attendance of GSOK Chairman Hwang Sung-ki and Secretary General Na Hyun-soo, alongside Yulchon Game Team co-leads Hwang Jung-hoon (attorney) and Choi Seung-woo (senior specialist), plus attorneys Lee Yong-min and Lee Han-gyeol.

Through this partnership, the scope of GSOK's monitoring of probabilistic item data accuracy will expand to include Yulchon's clients. Both parties also intend to exchange expertise and work on raising awareness regarding these game mechanics.

Chairman Hwang Sung-ki noted, "Beyond GSOK's member companies, which include Korea's leading game developers, Yulchon's diverse roster of clients can now join in promoting healthy gaming culture and user rights through legal compliance." Hwang Sung-ki added that GSOK would continue to support industrial development via self-regulation.

Attorney Hwang Jung-hoon, a co-lead of the Yulchon Game Team, stated, "We aim to strengthen our cooperation with specialized institutions in the gaming sector. Through mutual cooperation on probabilistic item monitoring, Yulchon will provide comprehensive legal services to domestic and international game companies."

Founded in 2017, GSOK is a self-regulatory body whose members include industry giants such as NCSoft, Nexon Korea, Netmarble, and Kakao Games. The organization is responsible for drafting policies and guidelines regarding various issues within the gaming industry.

Yulchon, established in 1997, is a major law firm that provides comprehensive legal services to both domestic and international entities. The firm specializes in legal solutions for sectors including gaming, IT, AI, entertainment, and sports.
