CROSS, which has been turning heads with its active onboarding, has inked a deal with a US-based blockchain game developer to ensure game security.

CROSS announced on the 6th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Proof of Play, a US-based blockchain game developer. Proof of Play is the developer behind the blockchain game 'Pirate Nation' and secured seed funding from the US venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz in 2023.

Through this partnership with Proof of Play, games onboarding into the CROSS ecosystem will be able to utilize 'vRNG (verifiable Random Number Generator),' a blockchain-native technology. vRNG is a technology that provides blockchain-based randomness in a verifiable format. It contributes to securing unpredictability and transparency, which are key elements in blockchain game design. Furthermore, the collaboration between global on-chain technology and the CROSS protocol is now in full swing, accelerating the expansion of the ecosystem.

The official CROSS channel explained the significance of this agreement, stating, "Games onboarding into the CROSS ecosystem can now access blockchain-native features, including vRNG."

NEXUS CEO Jang Hyun-guk stated via X (formerly Twitter), "Eventually, most games will issue their own game tokens and NFTs and record them on-chain," adding, "This partnership is a tangible move to accelerate that future."

Meanwhile, CROSS is increasing platform accessibility through 'CROSS Ramp,' which enhances game development convenience, and the community-driven platform 'CROSS PLAY.'
