Gravity kicked off a 'massive summer festival' on the 6th, marking the 23rd anniversary of the long-standing MMORPG, Ragnarok Online.

Since its commercial debut in South Korea back in August 2002, Ragnarok Online has hit the 23-year mark. To show appreciation for the players who have stuck around through all these years, Gravity has put together this anniversary bash.

The summer festival runs until September 3rd, and logging in during this window nets you a '23rd Anniversary Commemorative Gift Box,' packed with 23rd Anniversary All-in-One Potions and Kafra Buffs.

A bustling night market has popped up in Prontera, filled with various quests and content. You can reach it via the Varmundt NPC; once the prerequisite quests are cleared, you can dive straight into the main and daily missions. The night market also offers plenty of distractions, such as street food stalls and claw machines.

On top of that, attendance rewards are doubled, with special items handed out on the 10th and 20th days. Experience gains are boosted by 23% on weekdays, while weekends offer a 30% XP bump and a 20% item drop rate increase. If you play at a Gold PC cafe, you gain an additional 23% in both XP and drop rates. Furthermore, you can visit the Ventriloquist NPC in Geffen to reset your skills and stats for free, as many times as you like, giving you total freedom to reconfigure your character.

Refinement and grade enhancement events are also on the menu. Players who refine level 4+ weapons or any armor to +11 or higher will be entered into a raffle for Holgren's Shadow Refinement Hammers or special refinement event boxes. Success rates for refining level 5 weapons and level 2 armor have been nudged up, as have the success rates for grade enhancements. To top it off, they are introducing limited-edition 23rd-anniversary costumes and new skins.

Meanwhile, the official community is hosting a five-line acrostic poem contest. If you post a poem on the free bulletin board with the title 'Congratulations on Ragnarok's 23rd birthday,' you'll be in the running to win a 60-day Kakao Emoji voucher.
