Following the recent social uproar caused by bomb threats targeting the Shinsegae Department Store in Seoul, the gaming industry has found itself caught in the crosshairs of similar criminal activity.

In the early hours of the 8th, an online post claiming that a bomb had been planted at the headquarters of Nimble Neuron, a subsidiary of Neptune, triggered a police investigation. Nimble Neuron is a developer based in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, currently servicing the quarter-view AOS 'Eternal Return'.

According to the police, a special operations unit was dispatched around 2:35 AM on the 8th to search the premises located in Sunae-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, with the operation concluding around 7:00 AM. A user reportedly alerted the authorities after spotting a post on an online community claiming, "I have also planted a bomb at the Nimble headquarters."

Following the police sweep, no hazardous materials were found inside the Nimble Neuron office. The developer confirmed that staff returned to work as usual once the search was completed.

Meanwhile, the gaming industry remains continuously exposed to terror threats. In July 2023, the offline 'Genshin Impact' summer festival was cancelled due to a bomb threat. Last November, the 'Dungeon & Fighter' festival was delayed for the same reason.
