The 17th President's Cup Amateur e-Sports Tournament (KOREA e-SPORTS GAMES, hereinafter referred to as the President's Cup KeG) has officially wrapped up in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province.

KeSPA announced on the 18th that the national finals concluded with Seoul taking the overall championship title. Held over two days, the 16th and 17th, at the Jecheon Gymnasium, the event drew roughly 500 representatives from across the country, alongside a crowd of 4,000 enthusiastic spectators.

Seoul secured its victory by dominating both League of Legends and Brawl Stars, racking up a total of 233 points. This marks the sixth time Seoul has reached the summit, following previous triumphs in 2007, 2010, 2016, 2017, and 2022. North Gyeongsang Province took second place with 185 points, while Ulsan claimed third place with 173 points.

In the League of Legends finals, Seoul staged a brilliant comeback against Busan to win 2-1. Over in FC Online, Ulsan's Kim Tae-shin narrowly edged out North Gyeongsang's Kim Young-soo in a tense 3-2 series. Meanwhile, Daejeon triumphed in the grueling eight-round Eternal Return final, and Seoul proved too much for North Gyeongsang in Brawl Stars, winning 3-1. As for the technical showcase of Street Fighter 6, Nam Young-seok put on a clinic, defeating defending champion and Asian Games veteran Yeon Je-gil in both the winner's and grand finals to secure a flawless victory.

Champions across all categories received the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, while runners-up were honored with awards from the Korea Creative Content Agency and KeSPA. The total prize pool stood at 28,000,000 KRW. Additionally, an award for exemplary local government will be granted later. The MVPs—Seoul's Oh Chi-hun (League of Legends), Ulsan's Kim Tae-shin (FC Online), Daejeon's Kim Chan-soo (Eternal Return), Seoul's Choi Min-gyun (Brawl Stars), and Nam Young-seok (Street Fighter 6)—each walked away with a Sidiz Gaming Chair GC PRO.

The 18th President's Cup KeG is set to move to Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, in 2026. During the closing ceremony of this 17th iteration, Jecheon ceremoniously passed the tournament flag to the next host city, Gyeongju.

The President's Cup KeG serves as a vital platform for regional e-sports development and scouting local talent, standing as the world's only government-hosted national amateur e-sports tournament. This year's event was hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized by KeSPA and Jecheon City, and supported by a host of partners including the Korea Creative Content Agency, the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, Riot Games, Nexon, Nimble Neuron, Supercell, SK Telecom, Sidiz, Goal Studio, and MSI.
