The offline experimental game festival Out Of Index (OOI) is returning to Seoul from December 5th to the 7th. This marks the event's return after a three-year hiatus since the last edition in 2022.

OOI is an event created to foster fresh inspiration, ideas, and an experimental spirit. It selects the most experimental games from global submissions and introduces them to developers and gamers. Having first launched in 2014, OOI 2025 marks its 9th iteration, featuring an open call for entries followed by a festival where attendees can play the selected games.

This year, the event is partnering with 'Baverocks' and will be held in a special zone within the DDP during the same period. Visitors can experience both Baverocks and OOI with a single ticket.

The 'experimental games' pursued by OOI refer to titles that provide 'innovative gameplay experiences that have never been seen before.' Any game with unprecedented novelty is eligible for submission. To facilitate judging and exhibition, only digital games are accepted, and a playable demo is required upon submission. The deadline for entries is October 17th.

Selected games will have the opportunity to be exhibited and presented at OOI 2025, held at the DDP from December 5th to the 7th. Further details can be found on the official OOI website.
