Fresh details have dropped regarding the asynchronous marketplace, 'Merchant's Tab', coming to Path of Exile 2.

Grinding Gear Games took to the official Path of Exile website on the 26th to break down how the 'Merchant's Tab' works. This is the first time the series has introduced an asynchronous exchange, allowing players to trade items even while the seller is offline.

The Merchant's Tab arrives in the upcoming 0.3.0 patch. Once you have taken down the Act 4 boss, simply strike up a conversation with the NPC 'Angie' in your hideout to get started. Sellers set their prices through Angie, who then handles the sales on their behalf. For the buyer, it is a straightforward process: search for your desired gear on the official trade site, make the purchase, and the character will teleport to the seller's hideout to claim the item from Angie.

To complement the new exchange, a 'Market Panel' is being added directly into the game. It functions just like the web-based trade site, allowing you to search for item names or specific affixes without ever needing to Alt-Tab to a browser while you are busy playing.

Meanwhile, Path of Exile 2 is gearing up for the 0.3.0 patch launch this coming 30th. The update centers on the journey to recover 'The Third Decree', humanity's final hope and a formidable weapon, alongside the addition of 8 islands and 3 interlude acts.
