Nexon rolled out two new 2025 ICON MATCH Classes for EA Sports FC Online on the 28th.

The 2025 ICON MATCH Class acts as a bridge between the 2025 ICON MATCH and FC Online. It introduces two categories: 'Show and Prove,' where player stats fluctuate based on mission success during the September 13th event match and the main match results on the 14th, and 'Fan Boost,' which scales stats according to the enthusiasm of FC Online players.

For 'Show and Prove,' players on teams that clinch victories in the 1v1 showdowns, touch challenges, and power shot challenges will see boosts in key stats like speed, acceleration, ball control, shot power, and long-range shooting. Furthermore, those who shatter more boards during the weak-foot challenge will see their weak-foot ratings climb. To top it off, the winning team of the main match will receive a flat +1 boost to all stats.

The 'Fan Boost' features Eden Hazard and Rio Ferdinand; as the fan support gauge hits its targets, a +2 boost to all stats will be applied on August 29th.

Four new traits have also entered the fray. 'Two Hearts' acts as a permanent buff, mitigating stat degradation from stamina loss and slashing stamina consumption while sprinting. The 'Fighter' trait allows players to slow down opponents during physical duels, making ball recovery a breeze while simultaneously hampering the opponent's shooting accuracy. The update also debuts 'Acrobatic Finisher' and 'GK Quick Reflexes'.

On top of this, the reinforcement benefits have seen a shake-up. Players reaching +5 reinforcement gain one general trait, while those hitting +8 unlock a new trait, allowing a total of two. Those reaching +11 or higher now benefit from up to six intensive training slots.

In collaboration with the Korea Football Association, Nexon is hosting a continuing education seminar for South Korean football coaches on September 15th at 2 PM in the 1994 Hall of the Nexon Pangyo office. Rafael Benitez, manager of the Shield United team competing in the 2025 ICON MATCH, will lead the session, focusing on the core themes of youth development and coaching growth.

The official broadcast channels for the 2025 ICON MATCH have also been unveiled. Domestic fans can tune in via FC Mobile for both days, while the global version will stream the main match. Global coverage will be handled via platforms including the official YouTube channels of FC Online in Vietnam and Thailand, serviced by Singaporean publisher Garena.
