The collaboration skins for 'Persona 5' and 'Overwatch 2' have finally broken cover.

Following the initial teaser in an official video back in August, the details regarding the Overwatch 2 and Persona 5 collaboration have finally been revealed. Five heroes—Juno, Genji, Mercy, Lifeweaver, and D.Va—have been selected to don the iconic look of the 'Phantom Thieves of Hearts' from Persona 5.

The protagonist 'Joker' skin is donned by the new hero, Juno. Having only arrived with Season 18 on August 27, Juno has managed to snag a collaboration skin in record time. The set perfectly captures Joker's signature white mask and black tuxedo, while the 'Martian Staff' weapon gets a sleek black and red makeover.

The characters Ann Takamaki (Panther) and Makoto Niijima (Queen) are represented by Mercy and D.Va, respectively. Mercy sports Panther's crimson attire, complete with wings adorned with roses that symbolise the character's Persona. D.Va's Meka has been redesigned with a 'Johanna' theme; it features a futuristic grey metallic finish, with the High Priestess's closed eyes etched onto the cockpit.

Genji takes on the role of Ryuji Sakamoto (Skull), with a cheeky glimpse of the hero wielding the signature steel pipe already released. Lifeweaver takes on the Yusuke Kitagawa (Fox) skin, complete with the character's distinct fox mask and tail. It is a slightly curious creative choice to hand the skin to Lifeweaver rather than Genji, considering the latter is the resident katana-wielder.

While details beyond the hero skins remain thin on the ground, history suggests we can expect a host of additional cosmetic flourishes, such as new emotes, UI elements, easter eggs, highlight intros, and victory poses to round out the experience.

The Overwatch 2 and Persona 5 collaboration is set to go live in the update on the 16th (local time).
