LINE Games is set to release a new demo for its self-developed survivor-like title, Ember and Blade, at the upcoming Steam Next Fest this October.

Steam Next Fest is an online event held annually to showcase upcoming games on Steam. It will run for one week from October 13 to 20 (Pacific Time).

This new demo includes various previously unreleased content and introduces a character progression system. The main story expands from Act 1, 'Ashen Grassland', to Act 2, 'Forgotten Library', and Part C of the prologue will be revealed for the first time to enhance narrative immersion.

New characters and two weapon types (hammer, dual daggers) have been added. Additionally, a character progression system has been implemented, and combat flow has been improved with a faster pace based on user feedback from previous versions. Optimization has also been carried out to improve the overall play environment.

A representative from LINE Games stated, "We plan to showcase more diverse content in the new demo to repay the high expectations and interest from global users," adding, "We will provide a unique gameplay experience that captures the essence of Ember and Blade through Steam Next Fest."

Meanwhile, Ember and Blade tells the story of the protagonist 'Felix', who makes a deal with an angel at the moment of death to prevent the resurrection of a Great Demon. The game features a distinct, restrained color palette and emphasizes stylish combat and free character growth based on player preference.
