League of Legends is currently plagued by login issues. Riot Games has disabled ranked queues as they scramble to address the situation.

Riot Games took to their official X (Twitter) account and other channels on January 5 to acknowledge that players are facing login troubles. In their statement, Riot Games confirmed, "We are currently investigating an issue affecting game access and preventing some players from logging in."

The notice was posted around 6:40 AM on January 5, and as of 9:00 AM, warning messages were still visible on both the Riot Client and the official League of Legends website. Consequently, your chances of getting into a match are currently slim to none.

In response, Riot Games has deactivated ranked queues while they work on a fix. The team stated, "We have identified issues negatively impacting the game, leading to the disablement of ranked queues. We are working to resolve this and apologise for the inconvenience."

This isn't the first time the server gods have frowned upon us; back in December, a Cloudflare network error similarly left players unable to access League of Legends.
