Capcom’s latest title, Resident Evil Requiem, has smashed expectations, shifting over 5 million units in a mere five days. Now, the publisher is teasing a smorgasbord of additional content, including a brand-new DLC, to keep that momentum rolling.

Capcom took to their official social media channels on the 10th to share a video message from director Koushi Nakanishi. In the clip, Nakanishi-san expressed his genuine gratitude, noting that the game is growing at a rapid pace thanks to the overwhelming support from players worldwide, before confirming that story DLC, a photo mode, and new mini-games are firmly on the horizon.

The first update is slated for May. Beyond the usual rounds of bug fixes and performance tweaks, we are finally getting that 'Photo Mode' fans have been requesting. While the specifics of the new mini-games remain under wraps, there is already a fair bit of chatter suggesting we might see the return of the classic Mercenaries mode.

As for the headline act, the story DLC, Nakanishi-san personally promised that it will 'delve deeper into the lore of Requiem.' He admits that it will take some time to get it right, but he’s determined to deliver something that truly meets the lofty expectations of the fanbase.

On a lighter note, the presentation itself was quite a cheeky affair. Nakanishi-san manually flipped through physical paper slides, and the flashes of random imagery—ranging from a match-three puzzle game to poker and even romance tropes—certainly raised a few eyebrows and more than a few laughs. It has left many wondering if these peculiar teases might actually hint at future mini-games or other quirky bits of content.
