As the legal dispute between Krafton and the founders of Unknown Worlds continues, Krafton has disappeared from the publisher section of the Subnautica 2 Steam page.

The change on the Subnautica 2 Steam page occurred on the 7th; while Krafton was previously listed as the publisher, only Unknown Worlds remains. Subnautica 2 is also no longer listed under the 'Games' section on Krafton's official website.

This has led some gamers to speculate whether Unknown Worlds is self-publishing Subnautica 2 due to the legal conflict. Krafton and three former executives of Unknown Worlds are currently in a legal battle at the Delaware Court of Chancery over development delays and the distribution of performance-based compensation.

However, given that Unknown Worlds is still listed on Krafton's official website, the first-stage ruling issued in March, and the fact that it is extremely rare for a subsidiary to reject its parent company's publishing, the theory of an independent decision by Unknown Worlds lacks credibility. In particular, as the first-stage ruling ordered the reinstatement of former founder Ted Gill, it is possible that this is simply an internal change.

Meanwhile, Krafton responded to a phone interview with Gamemeca by stating, 'We are currently verifying the facts.'
