NEXON announced on the 16th that it has updated Sudden Attack with 'Wind Folklore Village,' a crossover event celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Kingdom of the Winds. 'Wind Folklore Village' is an 8v8 team deathmatch map where players collect acorns to earn event rewards, and it will be available until April 30th.

In 'Wind Folklore Village,' interacting with squirrels that appear on the battlefield grants effects such as health recovery, increased movement speed, and acorn acquisition. Furthermore, players can use acorns in the 'The Kingdom of the Winds 30th Anniversary Event' to exchange for or participate in chances to win items like the 'Art-Bullet-Grandmother of the Holy Shrine Permanent' and the 'Kingdom of the Winds Body-Bullet Permanent.' Players can also earn acorns, XP, and 'Permanent Item Sealing' items by completing specific quests within the map.

Additionally, starting with this update, the Quick Match feature has been improved to go beyond simple lobby entry, allowing players to be automatically assigned to 5v5 teams or join matches already in their early stages.

Furthermore, the 'Bread's Choice' event will run until the 30th, where players can guess the choices of Sudden Attack's official mascot, Bread, to win various item rewards. Completing daily missions or spending 'SP' provides voting tickets, and players can use the Bread Coins earned from their choices to receive rewards such as the '[M] Winchester(IS) Marble Lv.1 Permanent' and the 'TAC-9 White Tiger.'

Meanwhile, NEXON will hold the qualifiers for the official Sudden Attack esports tournament, 'Sudden Attack 2026 Championship Season 1,' starting at 12 PM on the 18th. For the first time, the qualifiers will be broadcast live on the official Sudden Attack SOOP channel. A total of 36 teams, including the defending champion 'Peo-je' who holds an automatic qualification, will compete for the 7 remaining spots in the main tournament.
