After turning quite a few heads with its vastly improved gameplay during the closed beta test back in March, we’ve finally received a status update on the development of 'Nakwon: Last Paradise'. The team has introduced several quality-of-life adjustments, including custom key bindings and clear expiration dates for food items.

You can dig into the full details via the developer note published on the Steam official page on June 24. First off, 'key binding' is finally arriving, allowing you to remap controls to suit your own playstyle. The team is also hard at work on controller support, so stay tuned.

Next up, those essential food items you rely on to stave off hunger will now feature visible expiration dates. During the previous test, managing your food was a bit of a guessing game, but now, a numerical indicator on the item icon in your inventory will make management much easier. There is also a new 'bulk move' feature for your stash; just hold the Alt key and click to move all items within a category into storage in one go.

Finally, the trap skills are getting a rework. In the last test, it was clear that players were not utilizing traps effectively, so the team is consolidating them. By equipping a single active trap-laying skill, you’ll now be able to use various types of traps via a passive system, making your skill build much more efficient.

'Nakwon: Last Paradise' is a zombie survival game set in a modern Seoul, famously featuring the Nakwon Arcade. Based around a safe zone in Yeouido, you must scavenge through zombie-infested districts to gather resources and make a daring escape. The previous test showcased the game's core loop, including life content like housing, quests, and a narrative grounded in the ruins of the city, alongside a significantly refined combat system.
