Blizzard's strategic card game Hearthstone has released its new expansion, 'Escape from Violet Hold', on the 8th. The theme of this expansion is a prison break, and players can experience unique strategic fun through various new cards and a new system.

A total of 135 new cards have been added. Among them, class-specific Legendary minions called 'Rulebreakers' have been introduced, which flip core rules in various ways. 'Rulebreakers' provide players with diverse choices by changing the existing game progression based on each class's characteristics.

A new keyword, 'Prepare', has also been introduced. When you play a 'Prepare' card, it consumes all remaining mana, and the card's cost is reduced by the amount of mana spent. Afterward, the card returns to your hand, allowing for strategic use at the desired moment. In addition, 'Disguised Minions' that can be placed on the opponent's board to disrupt their plans, and 'Bribe' cards that provide a small reward to the opponent in exchange for powerful effects, have also been added.

To celebrate the expansion launch, an in-game event will run until July 29th. Players can choose one of three prisoner characters attempting to escape from the Violet Hold and complete event quests. Upon completing the quests, players receive six new expansion card packs, one Catch-Up Pack, and a hero skin for the chosen character. Detailed information can be found on the official website.
