The subculture RPG OUTERPLANE, developed and serviced by Major9, has successfully concluded its participation in Comic World Summer 2026 and launched a massive update that completely overhauls the game's story and systems.

OUTERPLANE greeted fans at Comic World Summer 2026, held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, from July 18th to 19th. The booth featured popular model Kang In-kyung, who portrayed the character Kuro, while cosplayers Mieum and Let took on the roles of 'Dreaming of Cheongun' Amber and 'Heatwave Cop' Delta, respectively, drawing significant attention from attendees. Major9 engaged with visitors through interactive programs and exclusive merchandise. The enthusiasm at the OUTERPLANE booth remained high throughout the two-day event.

This energy carried over into the game with a major update released on the 21st. The update introduces a fresh tutorial and a completely restructured main story, alongside comprehensive UI and UX improvements for a more convenient and pleasant gameplay experience. The revamped main story follows the protagonist, who is summoned to the otherworld of Mersha, as they begin an adventure alongside the Ark Remegeton, led by Luna, Monad Eva, Delta, Viela, and the new character, Lambda.

The previous main story has been reorganized into an 'Origin Story', allowing players to revisit and enjoy the original narrative at any time. The standing event dungeons have also been revamped. The previous three dungeons—'Run! Shipboard Sports Day', 'Golden Break Commotion', and 'Moonlight Chasing the Apocalypse'—have been retired, and three new dungeons have been added: 'Moment Ring - The Eternal Preserver', 'In the Brave New World', and 'The Hot Spring Inn in the Winter Country'. Players can earn rewards and access the event shop in these new dungeons.

Preparation for the PC version release via Steam is also in its final stages. Major9 is currently conducting the finishing touches for the official launch and plans to share concrete details regarding the Steam version in the near future.
