EXBO has officially launched its self-developed open-world extraction MMOFPS, STALZONE, on Steam as of the 23rd.

STALZONE blends the intensity of FPS combat with the progression, competition, and cooperation typical of MMORPGs. Players must survive within the 'Zone'—a fictionalized Chernobyl exclusion zone teeming with anomalies and mutants—while uncovering the secrets of mysterious artifacts and engaging in large-scale faction-based conflicts.

The game is set in an alternate reality where the laws of physics were warped by the Noosphere rupture of 2010. Players take on the role of the 'Blessed,' drawn to the Zone by recurring dreams of a mysterious artifact, and embark on a quest to trace its origins. Along the way, the Blessed face opposition from the Orderly, a radical faction that views the Blessed as dangerous zealots. Upon starting, players choose between the Stalker or Bandit factions, focusing on scavenging resources and successfully extracting them to safe zones.

For the official Korean release, the development team has overhauled the starting area, early-game quests, and the tutorial. They have also implemented new guidebooks, quality-of-life improvements, and PvP balance adjustments. Furthermore, the update introduces new character face models, emotes, lip-syncing for dialogue, and a light-based lighting system. To ensure a smooth experience for Korean players, the game now officially supports Korean and provides a stable environment via dedicated Korean servers.

The new summer storyline introduces military forces from the US and Korea to the Zone, sparking fresh conflicts. Players must face new enemies and complete various missions, ranging from intelligence gathering to supply transport across the Northern Zone. Meanwhile, STALZONE is running a Korean-exclusive challenge event, 'Departure and Return to the Zone,' until September 2nd, offering a variety of in-game items for new and returning players.

STALZONE is available to play for free on PC (Steam).
