With the application deadline approaching for NHN's recruitment-linked hackathon, Next AI Network 2026 (NAN 2026), interest from prospective applicants is surging. NHN announced that the official website has surpassed 100,000 cumulative visitors, with a steady stream of inquiries regarding the event.

The event is designed to discover talent capable of architecting the next evolution of artificial intelligence. It is part of NHN's ongoing strategy to internalize AI-driven workflow innovations and is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency. Anyone aged 19 or older, regardless of occupation or background, can apply individually or as a team of up to three members.

Applicants must submit their application and preliminary assignments by August 10. The preliminary assignment consists of a playable game build, a demo video, a game pitch, and technical documentation on AI implementation. Kim Sang-ho, Head of NHN's Game Business Division, stated, "We are feeling the high level of interest from talent looking to fuse gaming with AI through this 'NAN 2026'," adding, "We look forward to seeing many skilled and creative individuals take on the challenge in the remaining time."

The final round will take place over 48 hours from September 4 to 6 at NHN's headquarters, Play Museum, in Pangyo, Gyeonggi. Participants must complete and submit their projects within the time limit after the theme is revealed. The top three teams selected through final judging will receive prizes of 50 million KRW for the grand prize, 20 million KRW for the runner-up, and 10 million KRW for third place, along with opportunities for final job interviews and additional hiring benefits.
