After Gen.G and T1 secured the championship and runner-up spots respectively for the LCK at the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational in Vancouver, the league is gearing up for the 2025 LCK Rounds 3-4, kicking off this Wednesday, the 23rd. The roster updates for the remainder of the season have now been made public.

DN Freaks, finishing the first two rounds at the bottom of the table with a 1-17 record, is shaking things up with a new command structure. General Manager Joo Young-dal is stepping into the head coaching role. A seasoned figure who lifted multiple trophies while coaching Samsung Galaxy and Gen.G, Joo Young-dal had been serving as the team's office director but decided to step down from that role to take the helm as the team hit rock bottom. While Joo Young-dal maintains other responsibilities, the focus is squarely on the LoL squad. The former head coach, Jung Min-sung, will remain with the team as a coach for the rest of the season.

OKSavingsBank BRION is also ringing in the changes. The organization has parted ways with Choi Woo-beom, who had been with the team since its franchise entry in 2021, and brought in Lee Ho-seong, famously known as 'Duke', as head coach. Lee Ho-seong, a former top laner, boasts an impressive pedigree, having won the LoL World Championship in 2016 with SK Telecom T1 and in 2018 with Invictus Gaming.

Dplus KIA has recruited Kim Dae-ho, known as 'cvMax', as a coach. Kim Dae-ho has previously held head coaching roles at Griffin, DRX, and Kwangdong Freecs (now DN Freaks), and spent time in China earlier in 2025 as the head coach for LPL side JD Gaming. After stepping down from JD Gaming due to health concerns, Kim Dae-ho joins Dplus KIA just in time for the third and fourth rounds. Dplus KIA has also promoted Kim Sun-woong, previously a coach for their Challengers squad, to the head coach position.

Among the player roster updates, the arrival of 'Burdol' Noh Tae-yoon and 'Trigger' Kim Eui-joo at Nongshim RedForce stands out. Noh Tae-yoon, who has played as a starter for Gen.G, Dplus KIA, and Liiv SANDBOX (now BNK FearX), and has experience with LGD Gaming in China and Isurus Estral in the LTA South, now dons the Nongshim RedForce jersey. Bottom laner Kim Eui-joo, who debuted with APK Prince in 2018, is returning to a Korean team for the first time in five years after stints in China, Europe, and the Americas. Both Noh Tae-yoon and Kim Eui-joo are slated to compete in the LCK CL.

OKSavingsBank BRION has also added veteran bottom laner 'Leo' Han Gyeo-re to their ranks. Han Gyeo-re began a professional career with SK Telecom T1 in 2018 before moving to SANDBOX Gaming in 2020. After bouncing between the first and second tiers, Han Gyeo-re spent 2023 in Japan and 2024 in the EMEA region before returning to Korea.

Furthermore, mid laner 'Akaze' Choi Soo-hyuk of DRX, top laner 'Navid' Park Min-woo of Dplus KIA, top laner 'Kangin' Choi Kang-in of Hanwha Life Esports, and 'Enosi' Gwak Gyu-jun of BNK FearX have all been added to the rosters for the third and fourth rounds.

The 2025 LCK Round 3 begins on July 23rd (Wednesday) with a match between Dplus KIA and OKSavingsBank BRION. Matches will take place at the LCK Arena in LoL Park, Jongno-gu, Seoul, with two matches per day from Wednesday to Sunday. The 3rd through 5th rounds will be contested in two groups: the Legend Group and the Rise Group.
