The zombie-slaying action game 'Lollipop Chainsaw', which first launched in 2012 and saw a remaster released last year, is expanding its IP. The series is set to receive both an entirely new game and an animation project.

Dragami Games announced that it is collaborating with Taiwan-based IP development firm NADA Holdings to develop the new game and animation project. Furthermore, the developer declared that it would exclude any DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) censorship that might compromise the original vision of the source material.

'Lollipop Chainsaw' is an action game that follows Juliet, a cheerleader and descendant of zombie hunters, as she struggles to resolve a catastrophe at her school alongside her boyfriend, Nick, who has been reduced to just a head. While a full remake was initially planned for 2024, the developer listened to player feedback and released the remaster 'Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP' instead, signaling the revival of the series.

Development on the new title is currently underway, with the top priority being to preserve the charm and unique spirit of the original. To achieve this, the studio has recruited staff who worked on the original project 13 years ago while continuing to listen to fan feedback. Specific details regarding the animation will be released at a later date.
