The global esports tournament, 'Summoners War World Arena Championship 2025' (SWC2025), has kicked off its Asia-Pacific Group A Southeast Asia qualifiers, where KELIANBAO and PU snatched the top two spots to secure their tickets to the main event. Meanwhile, in the 'Open Qualifier - France', which grants a direct pass to the World Finals, GUTSTHEBERSERK emerged victorious.

SWC2025, the stage for determining the world's strongest player in Com2uS's 'Summoners War: Sky Arena' (Summoners War), held its Asia-Pacific Group A Southeast Asia qualifiers and the 'Open Qualifier - France' on the 26th and 27th (KST).

The Southeast Asia qualifiers were held online over two days. Among the eight competitors, KELIANBAO and PU claimed the regional representative spots, repeating their success from last year. On the first day, KELIANBAO, who is both the previous World Finals champion and a former third-place finisher in the Asia-Pacific Cup, secured the first ticket. After steamrolling regional rivals with 3-1 victories from the quarterfinals, KELIANBAO faced PU in a nail-biting full-set final, eventually sealing the win with a water-attribute Twin Angels deck.

In the loser's bracket matches held on the 27th, FLYN and NICKCLAS, who put up a strong fight the previous day, bested local veterans like MONKEYGODXCLAS and YEONHONG-187 to advance to the third round. Following a series of intense matches, FLYN met PU in the final. PU swept the series 3-0, shaking off the disappointment of the previous day to cement a place as a representative for Southeast Asia.

In the 'Open Qualifier - France' held on the 26th, GUTSTHEBERSERK, who once reached the semifinals of the 'SWC2022' Europe Cup, took the trophy. The Open Qualifier is a unique event that grants a direct World Finals ticket to the region hosting the main stage. This year's event saw a mix of talent, including rookies like FULLNATTY and seasoned French players like MALIGNANT and ELDEAU.

Despite a spirited run to the finals by the newcomer MINA, GUTSTHEBERSERK proved too much to handle. With some seasoned pick-and-ban manoeuvres, GUTSTHEBERSERK secured a clean 3-0 sweep and claimed the direct ticket to the World Finals.

SWC2025 will continue its qualifying rounds across the globe until the end of August, finalising the lineup for the regional cups. The regional cup season is set to kick off with the Europe Cup on September 20th.
