Nexon rolled out a fresh weekly boss, 'Chosen Seren' (hereafter 'Seren'), for its mobile MMORPG 'MapleStory M' on the 1st.

Seren is a weekly boss challenge designed for players at level 260 and above. The narrative follows the tragic fall of Seren, a knight of Cernium, who loses all reason and descends into a state of chaotic frenzy under the influence of Gerne Darmore. Defeating Seren yields rewards such as the 'Mitra's Rage' emblem, 350 units of Sol Erda Energy, and Tokens of Magic. Furthermore, utilizing the 'Mitra's Core Gemstone' rewards players with 'Crest of the Solar,' a new 5th-job skill capable of unleashing devastating strikes on multiple foes simultaneously.

The 'Everyone's Burning 1+2 Boost Up!' event runs until the 28th. Nexon has ramped up the benefits of its 'Everyone's Burning' event, allowing two additional characters to level up alongside a main character. Players can designate two 'Companion Hero' characters to receive the 1+2 level-up burning effect, applicable up to level 230. Requirements include selecting a 'Leader Hero' at level 180 or higher, while characters between levels 100 and 229 can be assigned as Companion Heroes. By spending 'Boss Points' earned during the progression, players can snag high-tier boss loot selection boxes, [Event] Typhoon Growth Potions, and Shining Synthesis Stones.

Running concurrently is the 'Summer Days with the Golden Octopus – Nothing Done with the Golden Octopus' event, which dishes out experience points based on your daily cumulative playtime. XP stacks automatically after the first login of the day, and yes, it even accumulates while you are offline. Players can spend the event coins earned to swap for items like Extreme Growth Potions and 100% Star Force Enhancement Scrolls (+1 star, valid for 1-30 stars).
